This heavy-duty, interlocked flexible metal tubing, primarily used with Titeflex convoluted hose, has two main purposes. It either covers the entire hose, to protect against the most severe handling abuse, or it is used in short sections for strain relief. A short piece over an attached hose end will restrict the hose bending radius sufficiently to prevent kinking at the connection which results in premature hose failure.

Tubular TF1072 Fire Shield
Used with any Titeflex hose type, tubular silicone fiberglass fire sleeves shield the hose from exposure to extreme temperatures, open flame, dirt and hydraulic oils. The sleeve consists of a uniform layer of braided fiberglass with a fire-resistant silicone outer coating. It does not affect hose flexibility. This sleeve is recommended for applications with an operating temperature range of -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 26°C).

Hypalon 10638
Hypalon sleeve, primarily used with Titeflex convoluted hose, provide outstanding protection against extreme environmental exposure. They are excellent precautions for outdoor hose installations where the hose is continually moved, as in loading and unloading operations for trucks, ships and tank cars. In such places, the Hypalon sleeve strengthens the hose and exhibits high resistance to oxidation, ozone attack, ultraviolet radiation and temperature extremes, Maximum operating temperature 250°F (170°C).

Also available are heat shrinkable and Tubular sleeves such as Polyester, Polyolefin, FEP Vinyl, Neoprene and Teflon.
